A journey is going to a place or travel from place to place. A destination is a place for which you are bound or going to. Life is somewhere in between with the emphasis being on the former. When you come into life as a baby you are not really going anywhere for you rely on your parents but for some in the animal world the journey starts fairly soon after they are born and that journey has one destination, food and surviving. Depending on which part of the planet you arrive in, your journey will be different. The nomadic peoples of the world such as the Bushmen and women of the Kalahari Desert, or the aborigines of Australia, have a life of constant literal journeying to destinations they know will replenish them. In Namibia the Himba are constantly moving their cattle to new grazing areas.
We are born unto this universe with a path. That path is where we learn, grow, and mature. We are not seeking a destination, only continued growth on that path. Perfection would be the destination, and although we know that we are unable to be perfect, that does not mean that we should not try to attain that perfection in our daily lives.
Life is a series of episodes. Each one teaches us fantastic things. Whether miserable, or wonderful, each experience helps us grow and mold ourselves along our journey. We learn through every step of the way. Life is not about reaching a destination. One may reach MANY destinations in life, possibly even thousands, but those are all part of the all.
